    what is the diference between :

    1- I ask for help.
    2- I ask to help.

    ask for help means that you need help and you are searching for someone that will help you.

    ask to help .... can you send me an examlpe ? the way you write it, leads to reported speech....
    I would transform it : I asked if I could help

    1- If you ask for help it means that you need somebody to help in doing something.Eg: I asked for her help because I was in trouble and I did not know what to do.

    2- If you ask to help, it means that you want to help other people i.e it is not you who needs help but other people.Eg: I found them preparing dinner ,so I asked to help.
