I was doing some English Multiple Choice Test at intermediate level, and
was stuck over a question as follows:
_______the doctor at 2.00 this afternoon, so
I can't go to the lecture.
A. I'm seeing
B. I see
C. I will see
I selected C because
the time (i.e. 2:00 pm ) has given a clue that I should select
the answer in future tense.
But the correct answer is A.
I have no idea why the answer is A instead of C?
Could you help please, teachers?
Thanks a lot.
I'm flying to New York next month.
I'm going to go down the shops soon. Do you want anything?
Are you coming to the party tomorrow?
B and C are grammatically correct, but they are nowhere near as common as A.
