    Form / Meaning Problems

    Hello,

If I gave the below sentences to pre-intermediate students what difficulties or problems with regards to form or meaning may they face

    1. The custom officers made me open the boot and take out all my luggage.

    2. I'm really looking forward to going on holiday.

I look forward to your replies.

    Thanks

    Re: Form / Meaning Problems

    Hello archimedes

Form means shape, what a word looks like, and meaning, well, that's self-explanatory: what a word means. The two, form and meaning, are related.

As the question you've asked is test-related, we cannot give you the answers, but we can guide you.

The problems learners would face are highlighted:

    1. The custom officers made me open the boot and take out all my luggage.

    2. I'm really looking forward to going on holiday.

It's now your job/responsibility to figure out why those words would be problematic for learners.
