    between/among everybody

At the end of the day, the cooked meal was shared equally between everybody present, Nayaka " children " and the " big parents. "

Can we use 'among' instead of 'between' in this sentence?

    Thank you in advance.

Can we use 'among' instead of 'between' in this sentence? That sentence is a bit odd, but I would use "among".

    Thank you in advance.

    Re: between/among everybody

Thank you a lot, 2006. I read 'Anna said we should share the money out between everybody' in Cambridge published DEVEOPING GRAMMAR IN CONTEXT. There are five people in the context. That's why I asked the question above.
