    Are these phrases grammatically correct?

    Hello,
I've got 2 Questions. I heard someone was using this in a conversation. Are they grammatically correct?

    1. They are a hopeless fool, they are hopelessly stupid!
    2. They are annoying little brats!

    Thanks very much.

    2. is correct. In 1. the second part is correct, the first part is wrong, it should be "They are hopeless fools..."
