a couple more restaurant related questions

    Teachers,

At a restaurant when asking your company what he is going to have:
What are you going to have?
    What are you having?
Can either of the these expressions be used synonymously?

Also, if you dropped your fork and telling the server in hope of having it changed, would it be "Excuse me but, I dropped my fork. "or "I dropped the fork." or "I dropped this fork." ?

    Thank you.

Yes, they can be used synonymously, and they are both fine.

"Excuse me, but I dropped my fork" is a good way to say this.

The "excuse me" part is only to call the server's attention. If the server is already paying attention to you, you have no need to say "excuse me."

Server: How is everything? Is everything okay?
Diner: Everything's fine, but I dropped my fork.
