    Has been added...has been said...

I have always encountered these phrases - has been added...has been said...

May I ask their meanings? Are their verb tenses perfect progressive? All I know about the perfect progressive tense is that the verb ends with -ing....

    Please help.

    Thanks

Are their verb tenses perfect progressive? No, they both are present perfect tense. And they both are the passive voice.

    May I ask their meanings?
"has been added" means 'was added'.
An extra teaspoon of salt has been added.

"has been said" means 'was said'.
Everything that needed to be said has been said.
    Thanks
