    a simple play muscels that didn't reflect in his eyes?

    "He offered his hand and smiled an introduction, a simple play of muscles that didn't reflect in his eys."

    I can't figure it out, please tell me waht does that mean.

    His smile was fake. He was not being friendly.

    (His eyes would have shown if he was friendly - the only thing he did was move his mouth to look like a smile.)
