This is about the condition of Indian roads; the side of the paved road is about a half foot higher (raised) than its abutting unpaved road; if a driver, due to some urgency created by the vehicle coming from the opposite direction, has to go down the paved road, the vehicle has to fall on the unpaved road with a thumb ( or a bang) which is close to dangerous. What I mean to say is that since the paved and unpaved parts of the road are not nearly even, it is difficult to move to unpaved part of the road from the paved part.
Can you please write correctly what is in bold format?
"the paved side of the road is about 6" higher than the adjacent unpaved side of the road"
Hope this helps
