    hyphen

I know there should be at least one hyphen in "mandatory player release rules," but I'm not sure where.

FIFA and UEFA argue that without mandatory player release rules international football could not survive.

    Perhaps:

    Thanks.

    Re: hyphen

If we are using nouns to modify other nouns, and the reading of the sentence might make the reader momentarily confused about an object or an adjective, we use a hyphen to make clear the fact that a noun is merely an adjective. This convention is dying out, but still exists.
