Smile make it there in one piece

    Hallo,
I'd like to know the meaning of the idiom:
To make it there in one piece.

    Thanks
    Stefania

Re: make it there in one piece

It means to arrive uninjured or undamaged.

Please note that I am not a teacher.

Re: make it there in one piece

    Misiania is correct.

    Here are some examples:

"Please slow down!" Susan told the driver. "I want to make it there in one piece!"

    "How was your flight?"
"Very bumpy, there were storms the entire way. I'm lucky to have made it in one piece."
