    Remained vs Remaining

    30 seconds remaining

    Why not, 30 seconds remained?

Is it because 30 seconds are remaining ?

It really depends on context volcano, for example: "There are 30 seconds remaining" or "Only 30 seconds remained".

    That would be correct.

So, remaining is adjective or reduction (of relative clause) or something else?

    It's a present participle.
30 seconds are remaining. It means "30 seconds remain".

    Re: Remained vs Remaining

    Why is are reduced?

3 days left, is this the same with remaining?

"30 seconds remaining" is not a complete sentence, there is no verb. "30 seconds are remaining" is a sentence, "There are 30 seconds remaining" is a sentence. "3 days left" is not a sentence for the same reasons as above.
However, warning messages flashed onto a computer screen such as you have described don't necessarily follow grammatical rules.
