    Do you need to use of after most?

    I know that most of the emphasis is put on the riders

    If you use the article the immediately before the noun, they you need to use the of.

    Otherwise, it's "the most emphasis is put on the riders" or, perhaps without the article at all, as in plural situations, e.g., "most riders try to win the race" (or most of the riders try to...)
