    most of

    when I googled "most of" to see whether I should use after it is or are resulted mixed results. should I say "most of the offices are here " ORc "most of the offices is here"?

    I think it should be "most of the offices are here".

    why not "most offices are here". why do we use the term "most of " .can't we eliminate the "of"?
