    Will there be a chance for me to say (1) 'I am referring to you' ? I think the only thing that I could say is (2) 'I was referring to you.'

    Please tell me when I could use the first sentence, and please tell me the deference/s of what they are going to imply.

    Some people, and I am referring to you and others on this forum when I say this, have difficulty understanding the nuances of this crazy language.
