    Hi,
    is it acceptable to say??:
Last summer I went to a concert of Bowie's

By the way, how do you pronounce Bowie?

I mean the first vowel is is pronounced like a in car, like the first o in London,
like o in go or like o honour???

"a concert of Bowie's" could expresses that you know the singer personally, so try, "Bowie concert".

In North American English, [bo'wi:] or bow (as in bow and arrow) + ee (as in see)
