lump = tolerate = put up with = endure without complaint = swallow

    Dear teachers,

Would you be kind enough to tell me whether I am on the right track with my interpretation of the word in bold in the following idiom?

    Like it or lump it.

lump = to tolerate (what must be endured)
lump = put up with = endure without complaint = swallow

    Thank you for your efforts.

    Regards,

    V.
