    Future passive tense??

I heard a teacher say there is no way that "future passive tense" sentences exist because it doesn't make sense. If it's right, why?

In a pedantic sense, there is no "future passive tense". Technically, there is no "future tense" either.
However, in non-technical terms, you can use the passive voice with the future tense.

You will be given your assignments next week.

Darn. We're going to be so late getting to the party that by the time we arrive, the presents will all have been opened.

Of course you can have passive in the future.

I agree with the posters above. Such sentences exist; it's the terminology that poses problems.

    Re: Future passive tense??

They may have meant the future progressive passive - it will be being done - which is very rare but not impossible.
