Ken : I plan to spend two to three months

    Ken :
    - I plan to spend two to three months in France when I finish school, and get fluent in French.
    Paul :
    -----
    Ken :
    - Not necessarily. And, besides, Iím earning quite a bit of money now with a part-time job as a waiter.
    Paul :
    - Good for you! You really are very enterprising.

    A) I'd come with you if only I had the money.
    B) I'd like to go to Germany for the same reason.
    C) That's a good idea. But won't it be expensive?
    D) Lucky you! Where's the money coming from?
    E) Will you be in Paris most of the time?

    What do you think?

Agreed. They key is C. The reason being, Ken's statement "And, besides, I’m earning quite a bit of money now with a part-time job as a waiter" answers Paul's "But won't it (i.e, [living in France]) be expensive?"
