    collocation of "demand"

    Dear teachers,

    Would you be kind enough to share with me your opinion concerning the feasibility of the following sentences? What do you think about the usage of the "demand" in the sentences referred to?

    There is a brisk demand for home computers.

    Small cars are in great demand.

    Typists are in great demand.

    I have many demands on my purse.

    I have many demands on my time.

    The thieves demanded money from the passengers.

    The captain demanded obedience from his men.

    He makes great demands on my good nature.

    You make too many demands on my patience.

    You have to pay on demand.

    Supply made not even the barest pretence of satisfying demand.

    I hold a demand against you.

    He demanded rent from jobless tenants.

    My parents demanded that home-work should be done.

    The supervisor demands to see everything.

    He demands to be informed of everything.

    The operation in question demands great care.

    The present case demands skill and energy.

    She demanded my name.

    "Who are you?" she demanded.

    They demanded our identification.

    He demanded what our business was.

    There was a big borrowing demand.

    This problem demands attention.

    Demand examining the box closer I found it empty.

    They rejected our demands that no one should be punished.

    She is very demanding of her employees.

    Supply made is ridiculously poor, not even the barest pretence of satisfying demand.

    I hold a demand against you. Difficult to make any guess. Could it be said this way?:
    To forget the bitter experience, I hold against you a demand of becoming polite in future.

    My parents demanded that home-work should be done. Ok

    The supervisor demands to see everything. Ok

    He demands to be informed of everything. OK

    The operation in question demands great care. OK

    The present case demands skill and energy. Ok

    She demanded my name. as if she did not know me?

    "Who are you?" she demanded. asked very forcefully the identy.

    They demanded to verify our identification. The additions make it well-meaning.

    He demanded what our business was.

    There was a big borrowing demand.Demand on borrowing sounds better.

    This problem demands attention. OK

    Examining the box closer on demand, I found it empty. Could it be like this?
