    Lightbulb Is this sentence o.k?

    "However, the artistic formal elements used to depict a beautiful representation by Northern artists in the early fifteenth century were far from what Vasari defined as ‘Bello’ "

    It's acceptable. I'd write:
    "However, the formal artistic elements used by Northern artists in the early fifteenth century to depict a beautiful representation were far from what Vasari defined as ‘Bello’ "
