    Yesterday, did you ...?

Please advise if the following sentences grammatically correct:

    1) Yesterday, did you go to the market?

    2) I did go to the market yesterday.

They are grammatically correct but not very natural, they would be better like this:

    1) Did you go to the market yesterday?
    2) Yes I did. (As a direct response to 1) or, as a stand alone statement: I went to the market yesterday.

    Re: Yesterday, did you ...?

bhaisahab has already answered the question, but I want to ask but also add something:

    1) Is the comma really necessary?

    2) I did go to the market yesterday would only make sense if the person, who asks you, thinks that you did not do it.
    Example:
Mother: "I bet you did not go to the market yesterday, because you forget everything!!" *looks angrily at you*
And you say: "I did go to the market yesterday!!"

However, bhaisahab's version is grammatically better and I would have written it the same way.
I only wanted to say why the did go could be used instead of just writing went.

    Cheers!

In that situation saying "I did go to the market" adds emphasis, you are insisting that you went.

Subject + do/did + bare infinitive = Emphatic form (used to emphasize).
