    Has or have here ?

Friends, in this sentence of mine I'm not sure I use has or have with the word roots. So please help me and explain me why has or have is being used. My sentence is: "Every right-wing party in the world has/have roots in some religion"

    Thanks in advance!

Use "has" because the subject, "every right wing party" is third person singular.
