I often see the phrase "come to mama" in 《Friends》 ,what does that mean?thanks
Yes, it means come to mama, but it is used to portray someone as a baby, or someone who has failed and looks childish. Note that in English, we can't use French quotation marks as used in Chinese.
Also called « guillemets », they are not "allowed" in English.
They do not exist 'guillemets' in English punctuation?
Thank your reply.
Nope. Just the 'sixes and nines,' and "sixty-sixes and ninety-nines."
They look like 6s and 9s in English!
