    Question meaning of the phrase: "without engagement on our part"

    Hi all,
    Could you help me the meaning of the phrase: "without engagement on our part" in the below sentence:

    Based on the above Notification of full transferred LC, we are authorized by the First Beneficiary to automatically advise the Second beneficiary amendments made under the original LC upon our receipt, without engagement on our part.

    "We had no part in making the amendments on the LC"

    I think the bolded part may mean without thereby entering into a legal committment.
