    Are these two the same?

Is there a difference between these two sentences?
    #1.I should have done it.
#2. I should have already done it.

And is the 2nd sentence grammatically correct?

    Thank you.

It is grammatical subject to the adverb put before the auxiliary verb but before other verbs.. The use of adverb 'already' in the sentence modifies the verb done, in other words it makes the action more forceful.

    2 isn't really right.

The adverb should follow should; alternatively, it can be at the end. It can't split have and done.

Yes, you are right, thank you. This is an oversight and I stand corrected.

The Yanks do that fairly often too, so no worries.
