    pass on

I would like to know how I can paraphrase the following sentence fragment:
"parents want to pass on their values to their offsprings".

What are synonyms for "pass on" and "values" in this situation?

    Re: pass on

Parents want to raise their children by teaching them their(parents) moral values so that the children have the same values(let's say moral approaches to life). To pass on is (in this context)to transmit.
