    I'll give you one hint

    From 《Friends》
RACHEL: Hey Joey, how'd the audition go?

JOEY: Incredible! I met the director this time and you'll never believe who it was.

    ALL: Who?

JOEY: All right. I'll give you one hint. Warren Beatty.

Joey already gave the name out ,why did he call it as "hint"?

Agreed. I always despised the show. Frasier, Barney Miller and MASH were the ones I liked.

I've never watched a whole episode of it, it's awful. I've never heard of Barney Miller but I liked Frasier and MASH.

Barney Miller was a New York cop shop comedy.

As for British comedies, I loved Flying Circus, Yes Minister, Upstairs Downstairs and Allo allo. And Fawlty Towers.

If you're looking for intelligent comedy today, try Big Bang Theory.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

Yes, that one's good. And I like "stupid" comedy too, like 30 Rock.
