    Word picture

I was once told what the word was for a picture or painting made of words. Using the shape of the letters as the form of the painting. I'm not sure how to explain it.
I would love to know what the proper term is - does anyone have any idea?
    Thanks

    Welcome to the forums, Xina54!

The form of art you are describing is called Ascii Art (pronounced ask-ee).

Re: Word picture more info on question

Thank you Amigo but that's not the sort of picture I meant. Please see:

It's not really a picture as in representing something. The colour, shape and form of the letters are the art.

I did several pieces like this on Sketchfu which is an online drawing program. It was a French person who commented with the term I am looking for. I can't find the original comment and it's driving me mad trying to remember . . .

    Thanks
    Xina
