    Cool Steadying pheasant broth

    How can be a pheasant broth steadying? When talking on broth, what's a steadying broth?

    Hello BW,

    If you were very hungry, perhaps on a cold day, you might feel weak or tremulous. A bowl of pheasant broth might stop you feeling weak, and so would "steady" you (i.e. stabilise you).

    Alternatively, after a large amount of liquor, on an empty stomach, you might feel unsteady; then too, hot food of some kind might make you feel more robust.

    Personally, though, in both cases, I would look for something more substantial than broth.
