    i've not understood why they use the present perfect continuous can you explain me the difference between the present perfect continuous and present perfect

    The conversation has been going on for some time, and one person has been doing most of the talking. (The word 'continuous' is the clue; it might be a good idea to look it up in a dictionary. )
