Young -- what ages does it refer to?

When you hear the adjective "young" pre-modifying a person, what is the minimum age and what is the maximum age you imagine being referred to?

I just need short answers, e.g. "1-90", from as many native speakers as possible. Thanks!

That may well depend on the age of the person who is making the evaluation. To a 5 year old, four is young; to a ninety year old, sixty may be young.

That's a good point. So if you reply, please add your age category (e.g. 20-30). Thank you!

A numerical answer won't help you. The meaning is contextual.

It will help me, believe me. Otherwise, I wouldn't be wasting my time asking about it here. Thanks.

I'm between 30 and 90, and to me, young is between 1 and 29.

    OK. 12 - 37 for females, and about 16.5 - 46 for males. (plus/minus ~ 1.5 years in both cases).
