I' not quite sure if I understand this sentence properly so I've got a few questions:
    a) Is none a determiner here or a pronoun?
    b) Is the sleepier a noun or a (unknown to me) combination of the article and adjective?
c)What does it mean exactly? (Is she sleepy?; To what degree sleepy? Sleepy at all? or not sleepy at all?)

    Thank you.

    Re: none the sleepier

    Hi omasta,

"None the Xer" means "not any more X."

A common expression is "was none the wiser" - this means the person didn't get any extra knowledge about it, or more accurately, didn't know anything about it.

For example, Mary often slipped out her bedroom window at night to meet her friends, and her parents were none the wiser. (They didn't know.)

In that example, after working, she was not any more sleepy afterwards than before. She had no additional sense of feeling sleepy. We don't how if she was very sleepy or barely sleepy before she started working.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
