    Thanksgiving letter

Do I use "where" or "were" in these sentences?

Thankgiving is a season were we are able to visit family and eat alot.

In a season were our economy is not very good.

    Re: Thanksgiving letter

It's certainly not "where" but I'd suggest "when" or "in which" instead of "where."

Note that "a lot" is two words, and Thanksgiving is a day not a season.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
