Record a Voice Greeting for cellphone

    Hi All,

I'd like to record a voice greeting in English for my cellphone. Could you please provide the format to me or voice sample, so that I can record it properly? Thanks.

Re: Record a Voice Greeting for cellphone

OK I'm not a native speaker of English and I don't know if my example would help, but here are a few suggestions:

    1. Hi, this is [your name]. I'm not available at the moment but if you leave your name, phone number, and a brief message, I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Thank you and have a nice day.

    2. Hi, you have reached [your name] (at [your phone number]). Unfortunately I'm not here to answer your call. Please leave your name and other pertinent contact information so that I can call you back. Thanks. Bye.

Really, you can be as creative as you can with these messages. A friend of mine sings in his automatic voice message. Another friend of mine starts with "Clearly, I am not good at this..."

    Hope this helps,

    - HKB
