    Smile 'shipping' or 'forwarding' agent?

    Please tell me which is better or is it one and the same? Having in mind that these are 'forwarding agents' for train carriers and companies executing freight carriage:

    Shipping agents must be the intermediaries for all transport modes.

    Re: 'shipping' or 'forwarding' agent?

    In this case I would use forwarding.

    Forwarding means that something will be redirected.
    Station 1 -> Station 2 [forwarding process] -> Station 3

    Example:
    I give you an item, and you forward it to someone.
    If I would directly send it to someone, the item would be shipped by me.

    However, I'm not a teacher, so don't trust me 100%

    Cheers!
