    Inexplicable and Unexplainable?

Can you help me to differentiate the word 'inexplicable' from 'unexplainable'?

    The sentence:

__His disappearance in very strange, in fact, quite inexplicable/ unexplainable ( should it be 'inexplicable' or 'unexplainable'?)

__ I have no excuses. My actions were explicable ( why in this sentence I can't use 'unexplainable'?)

I see no difference between them.
