    "will" in questions

Which is correct: 1 Student: "When wiill we study the Present Perfect?"
or "When are we studying the Present Perfect?"

Teacher: "It's the next lesson in the book."

I am a bit confused here because we use the Present Continuous for plans for the future like in: What are you doing this afaternoon? But what about in questions like in the dialogue above, with no refernece to specific time?

Somehow, "When will we study the Present Perfect?" sounds more natural to me.
    What do you think.

    Please explain.

    Regards,
    Student

We use present continuous to talk about something that is planned to do in the future. In this case, we talk about studying program which of course has been planned so the second sentence is correct.
