    free publicity

The following sentences are about " Google" and can you please explain to m e what each numberd words/ or phrases mean?

Google Book Search will provide 1) free publicity and a new avenue for sales. But others worry that Google will use their 2) works without paying royalties. Google has addressed this fear by 3) touting Book Search as a book marketing program, where authors sell their works.
