How to answer questions which start with "do/does" ?

Does one have to answer questions which start with "do/does" with "do/does" ? For example : Where do you live ? I do live in France. b) What do you do in your free time ? I do watch TV in my free time. c) What does she look like ? She does look like....
Or not necessary to start with "do/does" ?

Answering questions completely like that sounds really formal...and weird if done all the time.

Normally just a simple "Yes, I do" or "No, I don't" will suffice.

Or better yet...just "yes" or "no".

Just vary them around a bit so it doesn't get overly repetitious and sound too robotic. ;)

No, to respond to that kind of question we don't use "do" or "does".
"Where do you live?" "I live in France". However in response to: "Do you live in France? you say: "Yes I do" or "No I don't". Does that answer your question?
