    keep upside of the glass down

    Please keep the upside of the glass down and turn on the tap, so that water run off the glass.

    Please check out this sentence and make a tweak in it if necessary.

    I am not a native speaker, but I will venture a suggestion. ,

    Keep the glass upside down and turn on the tap so that the water runs off/flows off the glass.
