    Re: tenses

Hi Nachaska, and welcome to the forums.

This is simple present: I watch Monday Night Football every week.
This is simple past: I watched Cincinnati squeak out a win over Pittsburgh this afternoon.

This is present perfect: I have watched two football games already today.
This is past perfect: I had already watched two football games when the third game of the day started.

There are other perfect tenses, like this one: I will have already watched three games when the Texas/Nebraska game started this evening.
Or this one: I have been watching football all day and I don't plan to stop soon.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
