    relative clause

    Hi, Can anyone tell me what which refers to in the following sentences please? and if possible, can you make the sentence into two separate sentences?

    This chapter describes X, the point at which an organization creates and assesses the original goals and expectation for the new system.

    I guess "which" means "X".

    The first which refers back to X; the second which is part the phrase at which, meaning where:

    The clause after the comma functions as an apposition and gives us some information about X.

    So, X is a point. When the organization reaches that point, it starts to create and assess the original goals and expectation for the new system.

    Separated version:

    -This chapter describes X..

    -An organization creates and assesses the original goals and expectations for the new system at this point/ stage.
