    a subtitle means...

    Hi,

    I was wondering if 'a subtitle,' as related to video footage, means an instance of a subtitle text or the entire subtitle text for the whole footage.

    "A subtitle" = one subtitle. "The subtitles" = all the subtitles in the film/video.
