Do i need the word "position (S)"?

    Hi,

Could you please answer my 2 questions related to my sentence?

Q1: Do i need the word "position"?
Q2: If there are more than 1 position (which are the same), should I use "position or positions"?

    Sentence:

In response to your job posting for a trainee accountant position, I have attached my resume.

    My opinion:
Q1: Since there is the words "job posting", the word "position" may not be needed.
Q2: Logically, I should reponse for all those identical positions. However, most people say "reponse for the job posting of a trainee....."

    Thanks

    1. No, you don't need 'position'.
    2. If they wanted more than one, you would write "... for trainee accountants"
