    How to reply correctly.

    Hi,

Is it okay to reply "thank you very much indeed", in response to a happy birthday wish?

Please reply soon, my birthday is nearing!! :)

Wow! this is my first thread in this forum and honestly I am so happy to receive those replies much faster than expected! Thanks a lot.

One more question, what is the best way to reply to a "happy birthday" wish, on social networking sites like orkut or facebook?

Hi Saga, welcome to the forums. Yes' "thank you very much indeed" is a very polite response.

    Hi!

    I'm not a teacher.

I wouldn't use "indeed" on this occasion just to avoid ambiguity.
Such "indeed", in this situation, might be received as a sort of surprise.
