In this sentence:
This play (in theatre) was a sell-out season that had jaded critics hyper-ventilating about "theatrical Viagra".
In red what I don't understand well.
Please, any idea about its meaning?
Since this play was a sell-out success, jaded critics (who had come not to expect much) were excited about it (hyperventilating), and implying that the actors must have taken the theatrical equivalent of Viagra - something to sustain and enhance their performance.
That's one possible meaning.
