    lord chief justice

    Hi

In 1765, the anti-slavery society was formed in England, and seven years later the Lord Chief Justice Mansfield outlawed slavery in England, freeing 15,000 African slaves.

--- I understand that Mansfield is a name, and not some place? Probably Lord Mansfield.
