    Please, is my question correct?

I need to ask a question about the following underlined sentence:

"Laliberté is planning on October 9 to lead from the ISS what he has called the first ever artistic mission from space which will take place in a dozen cities around the world and involve music, dancing and images. The event will be based on a poetic tale imagined by Laliberté and written by the Canadian author Yann Martel."

= On what will Laliberté depend to present his performance?
    - Laliberté will depend on a poetic tale imagined by himself and written by the Canadian writer Yann Martel.

Is my question (and its answer) correct, please?
    Thanks in advance

Yes, but the story you are reading is very strange.

    Thanks for your help.
It is an article about the Canadian billionaire and the Cirque de Soleil founder Guy Laliberté who was the last space tourist around two months ago.
In what way is it strange?
