Which word to use instead of "just"

Can you recommend me - which word to use instead of word "just". I think I overuse it a lot - basically I am saying something like "I just wanted to do something" where "just" was used in a "nothing more" sense. Since I use it a lot it feels like became a filler/parasite word and I believe there should be a better alternative to "just" - e.g. "I only wanted to do something". Can you please correct me and share some ideas on the subject.

    Thank you.
